Hello! This is my first game to release!

It is a Space Shooter with 6 completely different enemy types, 3 difficulty levels and a ship editor, so you can create a ship just as you like.

Your goal is to survive as long as possible to do this, you have to beat yourself through multiple waves of enemies. Over time meteorites will cross your way. They do not harm you but you can use them to take cover from the enemies or destroy them to find useful items.

By finding Material Items from enemy ships or meteorites, you can craft your own ship upgrades, which can enhance your stats.

Stat explanation:

  • DEF - Defence, the higher this value, the less damage you take
  • SPD - Speed, the higher this value, the faster you move
  • ROT - Rotational Speed, the higher this value, the faster you rotate
  • ATK - Attack Damage, the higher this value, the more damage you deal
  • SHT - Shot Speed, the higher this value, the higher your fire rate
  • ACC - Accuracy, the higher this value, the more precise your bullets

Controls:

Keyboard:

  • Move - WASD
  • Shoot - Left Mouse Button / Space
  • Aim - Hover the Mouse over the Enemy

Controller:

  • Move - Left Stick
  • Shoot - Right Stick
  • Aim - Right Stick

it's not very linux compatible if only runs in WINE, which by itself is not a problem, then it requires another piece of software that is opened on my Linux web browser, and I've got no time to figure out how to get the WINE container running this game of yours to install that extra software.

Can you help me understand whatever I'm failing at here?

You have to install .Net Core and then open the Game using it. Also try the command 'dotnet "Those Spacecrafts.exe"' in the download folder. If you still need more help, I can compile a Linux, Framework independent version

Please do that. I just feel its unnecessary work for me to have to do something out of my click and play loop for Linux. I'm doing my best to switch people to Linux, but it's hard when there's that odd hurdle.

Really looking forward to giving this a go.

Okay, I'll do it soon. I'll also leave another reply when it's done so you will know

Sweet.

There is now a linux standalone version available.
To Start it, extract the zip file and the run

$ chmod 777 ./"Those Spacecrafts"

In the extracted folder. Now you can start the game by double-clicking it in your file browser or using another command:

$ ./"Those Spacecrafts" -h

thank you very much it's now working right of the box. i didnt have to what you just posted above, but thanks for giving that instructions anyways

I noticed something while playing, that asteroids if you don't shoot them can be used as shields if you stay in or on them.

Also it's clear the space ship has no inertia when you are moving it around with asdf keys.

Hello I put your game in my twitter where I list the free indie games, if you want me to add a link to your twitter in the post, give it to me I haven't found it ;) .

Okay, yeah you can do that.

Hey! I got your game from the Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality, and found it specifically by letting https://randombundlegame.com/ choose from the bundle at random for me.

It's a fun & cute little asteroid-like endless shooter. I enjoyed it!

The only feedback I have is the shooting feels a little odd (while WASD-ing around with my ship the projectiles kind of drift with my movement, making moving around, which is super important in your game, cause my shooting to become wildly inaccurate, lol) and it takes a decent amount of time to get enough upgrade materials to buy new ships.

I'll definitely put some  more time into it. Thanks for making it and for putting it in the bundle! :)

Oh! I wanted to add that I "bought" it again as thanks for putting your game in the bundle! Keep making stuff :)

Thank you very much for your helpful feedback and for buying the game!!

Nice endless wave game. I also like the music. I just find the UI a bit of messy for now though like many stuffs are scattered everywhere. Like maybe put some stuff in the main menu to the options? Also maybe put a tutorial at least so the player will be guided like those rocks for instance are use for a covering rather than an obstacle that can hit the player or enemies’ ship, and also for the controls as well since some might think arrow keys are used for direction or like a certain key is used for the fire button, etc.

Really nice game, even for a first release.

A small tip: Try to make those wings and ships unlockables  by completing certain tasks instead of buying them, it will add a bit of replayability to your game.

Also it will make players to not try to stick to the first wave just for farming materials.

Remember: farming is boring unless they are behind a nice minigame or if some of them have a 100% chance to appear doing certain stuff.

Thank you very much for the Feedback. I will try to apply this to my next game, where I'm planning to add achievements and unlockables that come with them.

nice work :)
